Ingredients

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)

Pinch of salt

Cooking spray or parchment paper (for lining)

Instructions

Prepare Your Pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly spray it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir, then continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Add Flavor: Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. If you’re using chopped nuts, fold them in at this stage.

Pour and Spread: Carefully pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan, using a spatula to spread it evenly.

Chill: Place the fudge in the fridge for about 1 hour or until it is set firmly. For a quicker set, you can place it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.

Cut and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the edges of the parchment paper. Cut it into squares and enjoy your delicious 5-minute fudge!
