To achieve the perfect flavor and texture for your crispy air fryer garlic Parmesan wings, it is crucial to coat them evenly with spices. Start by placing the cleaned and dried chicken wings in a large mixing bowl. This step is essential as excess moisture can prevent the wings from crisping up properly.

Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, minced

Zest of 1 lemon (optional)

Instructions

Prep the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This will help achieve that crispy texture.

Season the Wings: In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken wings and toss until they’re evenly coated with the seasoning mix.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Wings: Place the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook them at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking, until they are golden and crispy.

Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Sauce: While the wings cook, melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave. Stir in the minced garlic and cook over low heat for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat, then mix in the grated Parmesan cheese and lemon zest (if using) until well blended.

Toss the Wings: Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the wings and toss until they are thoroughly coated.

Finish with Parsley: Finally, sprinkle the chopped parsley over the wings and toss gently to combine.

Serve: Serve the wings hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and parsley if desired. They pair perfectly with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping!
