1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for dusting)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Prep the Apples: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and nutmeg (if using). Toss until the apples are well coated. Set aside to allow the mixture to marinate for about 10 minutes.

    Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
