Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 ripe avocado, mashed

1/4 cup buttermilk

1/4 cup Greek yogurt

1/4 cup ranch seasoning mix

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

4 whole wheat burger buns

Lettuce leaves, for garnish

Tomato slices, for garnish

Optional: sliced jalapeños, for an extra kick

Instructions

Prepare the Ranch Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the buttermilk, Greek yogurt, ranch seasoning mix, minced garlic, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside to allow the flavors to blend.

Mix Turkey and Avocado: In a large bowl, gently combine the ground turkey, mashed avocado, salt, and breadcrumbs. Be careful not to overmix, or the burgers may become tough.

Form Patties: Divide the turkey mixture into four equal parts and shape each portion into a burger patty. Make sure they are evenly shaped for even cooking.

Cook the Patties: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil the grill or pan to prevent sticking. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and have a nice golden-brown crust.

Assemble the Burgers: Toast the whole wheat buns on the grill or skillet until lightly golden. Spread a generous amount of the ranch mixture on the bottom half of each bun. Add a turkey patty on top, followed by lettuce, tomato slices, and jalapeños if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve: Enjoy your Avocado Ranch Turkey Burgers while they’re warm, accompanied by a side salad or sweet potato fries.
