Ingredients

6 large eggs

2 cups frozen hash browns, thawed

8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup milk

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the Hash Browns: In a bowl, spread the thawed hash browns evenly across the bottom of the greased baking dish, creating a solid base.

Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove it from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into bite-sized pieces.

Whisk the Eggs: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

Assemble the Casserole: Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and ¾ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the hash browns. Then pour the egg mixture evenly over the top.

Top with Cheese: Finish by sprinkling the remaining ¼ cup of cheddar cheese on top.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is lightly golden.

Cool and Serve: Once done, let the casserole cool for 5–10 minutes. Garnish with chopped chives if desired, then slice and serve warm.
