Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Lemon Butter Cream Sauce:

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1 clove garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

Juice of 1 large lemon

Zest of 1 lemon

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Salmon: Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Place them skin-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub the spices into the fillets for even coverage.

Bake the Salmon: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Make the Lemon Butter Cream Sauce:

          - In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant (do not let it brown).

            - Stir in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

              - Add the lemon juice and zest, and season with salt and pepper to taste. If using, stir in the fresh dill for added flavor. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serve: Once the salmon is baked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Plate each salmon fillet and generously drizzle the lemon butter cream sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

Enjoy: Serve with your choice of sides, such as steamed vegetables or creamy mashed potatoes, and savor every bite of the delightful flavors!
