Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a slight overhang for easy removal later.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Stir until well combined. Add the mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Blend Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are perfectly fine!

Fold in Extras: Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).

Cool: Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Let them cool completely on a wire rack.

Slice and Serve: Once cooled, slice into squares or rectangles. Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy the delightful blend of banana and white chocolate!
