Ingredients

For the Beef Marinade:

1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece of ginger, grated

2 green onions, finely chopped (reserve some for garnish)

1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean red chili paste)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

For the Bowl:

2 cups cooked jasmine rice (or rice of your choice)

1 cup kimchi (store-bought or homemade)

½ cup cucumber, thinly sliced

½ cup carrots, julienned

1 avocado, sliced

Extra sesame seeds for garnish

Optional: Fried egg for topping

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, gochujang, rice vinegar, and sesame seeds. Add the beef slices and mix well, ensuring all the beef is coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight for best flavor.

Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef, spreading it out in an even layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your preferred doneness and the marinade has caramelized slightly.

Prepare the Bowls: While the beef is cooking, prepare the base of your bowls. Place about 1 cup of jasmine rice in each serving bowl.

Add Toppings: Top the rice with generous portions of kimchi, sliced cucumbers, julienned carrots, and sliced avocado.

Assemble the Bulgogi Bowls: Once the beef is cooked, divide it evenly among the bowls, placing it on top of the veggies and rice. If desired, top each bowl with a fried egg for extra richness.

Garnish: Sprinkle additional sesame seeds and green onions over the top for a pop of color and crunch.

Serve: Enjoy your delicious beef bulgogi bowls hot and fresh! Mix everything together before eating for a burst of flavor in every bite.
