1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, based on preference)

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg (for egg wash)

Cooking spray or parchment paper (for baking)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray it with cooking spray.

    Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until it's browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart into small pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.

      Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.

        Prepare Crescent Rolls: Open the can of crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Lay each triangle flat on your clean, flat surface.

          Fill the Dough: Place a generous tablespoon of the sausage mixture near the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll the dough around the filling starting from the wide end and rolling towards the point, ensuring the filling is well wrapped.

            Prepare Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush a small amount over the tops of the rolled crescent dough for a golden finish.
