Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each, skin on)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

Juice and zest of 1 large lemon

2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (or 2 teaspoons dried dill)

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon slices, for garnish

Fresh dill sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Ingredients: Start by patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a nice sear. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Make the Lemon Dill Butter: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Remove from heat, then mix in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped dill. Set aside.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully add the salmon fillets, skin side down.

Sear the Salmon: Cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes without moving it to get a crispy skin. Gently flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, depending on your preferred doneness.

Add the Butter Sauce: Once the salmon is cooked to your liking, reduce the heat to low. Spoon the lemon dill butter over the fillets, allowing it to coat them evenly. Let it simmer for another minute to warm through.

Serve: Plate the salmon fillets and drizzle any remaining buttery sauce over them. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh dill sprigs.

Enjoy: Serve your Buttery Lemon Dill Salmon with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh garden salad for a complete meal!
