Ingredients

2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) for garnish

Optional: Chocolate or caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Prepare the Crescent Layers: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it flat in the bottom of the greased baking dish. Press the seams together to seal them and create a solid layer.

Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth using an electric mixer. Add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until well combined and fluffy.

Add Vanilla and Eggs: Mix in the vanilla extract. Then, add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Finally, fold in the sour cream until the mixture is creamy and smooth.

Pour the Cheesecake Mixture: Pour the cheesecake filling over the layer of crescent dough in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Top with Crescent Rolls: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and tear it into small pieces. Scatter these pieces over the cheesecake filling, covering the top as evenly as possible.

Bake the Casserole: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.

Cool: Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes at room temperature.

Dust and Serve: Just before serving, dust the top with powdered sugar. Add fresh berries and drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce if desired.

Slice and Enjoy: Cut the casserole into squares and enjoy your delectable Cheesecake Crescent Casserole!
