Ingredients

2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup sour cream

3 large eggs

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp lemon zest (optional)

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for topping)

Fresh berries (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Open the cans of crescent roll dough and unroll them carefully. Depending on your preference, you can either press them into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, or form triangles by pinching the seams together in the shape of a crust.

Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer and beat on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add Remaining Ingredients: Next, add the sour cream, eggs, flour, lemon juice, and lemon zest (if using) to the mixture. Beat on low speed until everything is well combined and free of lumps, about 1-2 minutes.

Assemble the Casserole: Pour the cheesecake filling over the crescent roll base in the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it evenly and ensure that it covers the dough completely.

Top with Crescent Roll Dough: Open the second can of crescent rolls and place the triangles over the cheesecake filling. You can overlap them slightly or create a lattice pattern, depending on your aesthetic preference.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.

Cool and Dust: Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the casserole to cool for about 15-20 minutes. Dust the top with powdered sugar before serving.

Serve and Garnish: Cut into squares and serve warm or chilled. Garnish with fresh berries for an extra touch!
