Ingredients

3 cups frozen hashbrowns (thawed)

2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie is great)

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 cup sour cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

½ cup sliced green onions (optional, for garnish)

1 cup crushed cornflakes (for topping, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix the Base Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until thoroughly mixed.

Add Cheddar Cheese: Fold in 1½ cups of the shredded cheddar cheese into the mixture, saving the remaining cheese for topping.

Prepare the Casserole Dish: Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter. Pour the mixture evenly into the prepared dish, spreading it out evenly.

Top the Casserole: Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top of the mixture. If you're using cornflakes, crush them and sprinkle them over the cheese for an added crunchy texture.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, let the casserole cool for about 5-10 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired, before serving.
