Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning mix

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (any color)

1/2 cup diced onion

1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

1/4 cup sour cream

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Salsa for dipping

Olive oil for brushing

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or turkey) until browned. Drain any excess grease.

Add Seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning mix, bell peppers, onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Follow the instructions on the seasoning packet and add water as required, allowing it to simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Mix the Cheese: Remove the skillet from heat and mix in the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese until melted and well combined.

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. On a clean surface, stretch each triangle slightly to make the base larger.

Assemble the Sticks: Place a generous amount of the cheesy taco mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough towards the pointed end, sealing the edges as you go. Make sure the mixture is enclosed.

Brush and Bake: Place the rolled taco sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil for a golden finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with sour cream, salsa, and sprinkle with fresh cilantro if desired.
