2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare the filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, frozen mixed vegetables, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

      Transfer to casserole dish: Pour this mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly.

        Make the dumpling batter: In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the melted butter and mix until crumbly, then gradually stir in milk until just combined.
