Chicken Ranch Stromboli

1 lb (450g) rotisserie chicken, shredded

1/2 cup ranch dressing

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)

1/4 cup sliced green onions

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 lb (450g) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: additional ranch dressing for drizzling

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ranch dressing, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, diced bell peppers, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

      Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, roughly 12x15 inches. Ensure it’s about 1/4 inch thick.

        Assemble the Stromboli: Spread the chicken filling evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a 1-inch border on the edges. Starting from one of the long sides, carefully roll the dough away from you to form a tight log. Pinch the edges to seal, tucking the ends under securely.

          Transfer to Baking Sheet: Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top generously with the beaten egg.

            Make Slits: Using a sharp knife, make a few diagonal slits across the top of the Stromboli to allow steam to escape.

              Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Stromboli is golden brown and cooked through.

                Cool and Slice: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into 1-inch pieces and serve warm with a drizzle of additional ranch dressing if desired.
