Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lime wedges, for serving

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Salmon: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lime juice, olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Reserve a couple of tablespoons of the marinade for basting later.

Combine and Coat: Place the salmon fillets in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring that the fish is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Preheat the Grill/Pan: If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat (about 400°F). If using a skillet, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil.

Cook the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade and shake off excess. Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, without moving them, until the skin is crispy.

Baste and Flip: Brush the tops of the fillets with the reserved marinade. Gently flip the salmon fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serve: Transfer the salmon to a serving platter. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and garnish with chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
