1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Zest of 1 lime

Juice of 1 lime

Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Dry the Chickpeas: After draining and rinsing the chickpeas, spread them out on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. Pat them dry gently to remove as much moisture as possible. This will help them become crispier when roasted.

      Mix the Spices: In a large bowl, combine the chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, sea salt, lime zest, and olive oil. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.

        Coat the Chickpeas: Add the dried chickpeas to the bowl and toss them in the spice mixture until they are well coated.
