Ingredients

1 ½ cups Oreo cookie crumbs

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened

1 ½ cups cookies and cream ice cream, softened

1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip

10 Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed (for layering and garnish)

½ cup chocolate syrup (optional, for drizzling)

Additional whole Oreos for decoration (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to create an even crust. Place the pan in the freezer for about 30 minutes to set.

Layer the ice creams: Once the crust is set, remove the pan from the freezer. Spread the softened vanilla ice cream over the crust, leveling it with a spatula. Return the cake to the freezer for an additional 30 minutes to firm up.

Add the cookies and cream layer: After the vanilla layer has set, spread the softened cookies and cream ice cream on top of the vanilla layer. Again, smooth it out and freeze for about 30 minutes.

Whipped cream topping: After the second layer is firm, spread the whipped cream evenly over the cookies and cream ice cream layer. Sprinkle the coarsely crushed Oreos on top of the whipped cream for a bit of crunch.

Final freeze: Cover the cake with plastic wrap and freeze it for at least 4 hours, or until firm. For best results, it's ideal to let it freeze overnight.

Garnish and serve: When ready to serve, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top if desired, and add whole Oreos as a decoration. Slice with a warm knife for clean cuts and serve immediately.
