Ingredients

1 pound lump crab meat

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)

1 cup sour cream

1 cup mayonnaise

1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup frozen peas (thawed)

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, shrimp, cooked rice, sour cream, mayonnaise, 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese, peas, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, and black pepper. Gently fold in the sautéed onions and garlic.

Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with the remaining cheese. Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the casserole.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
