Ingredients

8 oz elbow macaroni

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon mustard powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour to make a roux, cooking for about 1 minute until bubbly and golden.

Gradually pour in the whole milk and heavy cream while continuously whisking to avoid lumps. Cook until the mixture has thickened, about 3-4 minutes.

Lower the heat and stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper.

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well coated.

In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and olive oil. Mix well to coat the breadcrumbs evenly.

Pour the macaroni and cheese mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
