Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine or linguine

2 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup frozen peas (thawed)

1 tsp salt (to taste)

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, then drain and set aside.

Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, ensuring it doesn’t burn.

Make the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine with the garlic. Bring to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.

Add the Peas: Stir in the thawed peas, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the mixture simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the peas to heat through.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the noodles evenly in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water a little at a time until your desired consistency is reached.

Serve: Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately, and enjoy the delightfully creamy garlicky goodness!
