Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

Prepare the Wings: Start by rinsing the chicken wings under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels. This step is essential for achieving crispy skin.

Season the Wings: In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well. Add the chicken wings to this mixture and toss until they are evenly coated.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. This step ensures that the wings start cooking right away, which helps them crisp up perfectly.

Arrange the Wings: Place the coated wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they are not overcrowded to allow proper air circulation. You may need to do this in batches.

Air Fry the Wings: Cook the wings in the air fryer for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The wings should be golden brown and crispy when finished.

Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Sauce: While the wings are cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant (do not let it brown). Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Add red pepper flakes if you prefer a spicy kick.

Toss the Wings: Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the wings and toss gently until they are well coated.

Serve: Plate the wings hot and garnish with some extra chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce on the side.
