Ingredients

4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

½ cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Station: Set up three shallow dishes. In the first, place the flour seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. In the second, whisk the eggs until light and frothy. In the third, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese, if using.

Preheat Oil: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. You want enough oil to cover the bottom of the skillet thoroughly.

Dredge the Pork Chops: Take one pork chop and coat it in the seasoned flour, shaking off the excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any drips to fall back into the bowl. Finally, press it into the breadcrumb mix, ensuring it’s fully coated. Repeat with the remaining pork chops.

Fry the Pork Chops: Once the oil is hot (you can test by dropping a breadcrumb in – it should sizzle), carefully add the pork chops. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Drain and Rest: Remove the pork chops from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. Let them rest for a couple of minutes.

Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy with a fresh salad or your favorite dipping sauce!
