Instructions

Prepare the Tofu:

    - Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

      - Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes or nugget shapes.

        Coat the Tofu:

          - In a bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

            - In another bowl, combine the plant-based milk and sriracha (if using).

              - Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

                - Dip each tofu piece into the flour mixture first, then into the milk mixture, and finally coat well with the panko breadcrumbs, pressing down gently to ensure a good coating.

                  Bake the Tofu:

                    - Arrange the breaded tofu nuggets on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, leaving some space between each piece.

                      - Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the nuggets are golden and crispy.

                        Make the Buffalo Sauce:

                          - In a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, vegan butter, maple syrup, and garlic powder. Heat over low-medium heat, stirring until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined. Remove from heat.

                            Toss in Buffalo Sauce:

                              - In a large bowl, toss the baked tofu nuggets with the Buffalo sauce until well coated. You can also serve the sauce on the side for dipping.

                                Serve:

                                  - Serve the crispy Buffalo tofu nuggets warm with celery and carrot sticks, along with your favorite dipping sauce.
