Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks), melted

1 ½ cups packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling on top

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.

Mix the Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined and smooth.

Add the Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and stir until combined.

Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in the Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, ensuring an even distribution throughout the batter.

Assemble for Baking: Pour half of the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the batter. Pour the remaining blondie batter on top and spread it out. Finish by drizzling the remaining salted caramel sauce on top, swirling it gently with a knife to create a marbled effect.

Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake, as you want the blondies to remain soft and chewy inside.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the blondies from the oven and let them cool in the pan on a wire rack. After they have cooled, sprinkle flaky sea salt on top for that perfect balance of sweet and salty. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Store: To keep your blondies fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze them for longer storage.
