Ingredients

1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix

1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

4 large eggs

1 cup sour cream

1 cup vegetable oil

1 cup water

1 cup chocolate chips (mini or regular)

1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup powdered sugar

2-3 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 12-cup Bundt pan or two 9-inch round cake pans with butter or non-stick spray.

Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, chocolate pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, and water. Mix on medium speed with an electric mixer until well combined (about 2-3 minutes).

Add Chocolate Chips and Nuts: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts/pecans (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour into the Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan or evenly divide it between the two round pans. Make sure to leave some space at the top as the cake will rise while baking.

Bake: Place the pan(s) in the preheated oven. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If using round pans, they may take slightly less time, around 30-35 minutes.

Cool: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Then, carefully turn the cake out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until a smooth glaze forms. If it’s too thick, add an extra tablespoon of milk until the desired consistency is reached.

Glaze the Cake: Once the cake is completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the top, allowing it to slightly drip down the sides.

Serve: Slice and serve your Do Nothing Tornado Cake as a delightful dessert. Enjoy the rich chocolate flavor with a hint of nuttiness and a sweet glaze!
