Ingredients

4 chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon honey (optional, for extra glaze)

Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Rinse the chicken thighs under cool water and pat them dry with paper towels. This step helps achieve a crispier texture.

Marinate: In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and rub the seasoning mixture all over the meat, ensuring they are evenly coated. For even more flavor, cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours).

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes while you prepare the chicken.

Coat with BBQ Sauce: After marinating, place the chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce on the top side of each thigh. Make sure it’s evenly coated.

Air Fry: Cook the chicken at 380°F (193°C) for 10 minutes. After the first 10 minutes, flip the chicken thighs over, brush with additional BBQ sauce, and cook for another 8-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). If you prefer a more caramelized glaze, you can broil on high for an additional 2 minutes.

Rest and Garnish: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This helps retain juiciness. Drizzle with honey (if using) and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Serve: Enjoy your juicy and flavorful air fryer BBQ chicken with coleslaw, corn on the cob, or your favorite sides!
