1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1-2 lemons)

Zest of 1 lemon

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Prep the Shrimp and Asparagus: Begin by rinsing the shrimp under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels and place in a bowl. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Toss to coat and set aside to marinate while you prepare the asparagus.

    Sauté the Asparagus: In a large skillet, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the asparagus and a pinch of salt. Sauté for about 3-5 minutes until the asparagus is bright green and tender-crisp. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

      Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Ensure the heat remains on medium-high to avoid burning the garlic. Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

        Combine: Add the sautéed asparagus back into the skillet with the shrimp. Stir gently to combine and heat through for an additional minute.
