Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 ripe banana, mashed

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and mashed banana. Mix well until you have a smooth consistency.

Add both sugars (brown and granulated) to the peanut butter mixture and mix until thoroughly combined.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

If using, fold in the chocolate chips for added indulgence.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy your delicious peanut butter banana brownies!
