Ingredients

1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

2 teaspoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup broccoli florets

1 medium carrot, julienned

1 cup snap peas

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

1 cup cooked jasmine rice or brown rice (for serving)

Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Toss well to coat and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Prepare the Veggies: While the beef marinates, wash and chop all the vegetables as specified in the ingredients. Set aside.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Cook the Beef: Once the oil is shimmering, add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, without stirring, until browned. Stir occasionally until fully cooked, then remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the red bell pepper, broccoli, carrot, and snap peas. Stir-fry the vegetables for 4-5 minutes, or until tender but still crisp.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked beef to the pan with the stir-fried vegetables. Toss everything together to combine and heat through for an additional 1-2 minutes. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serve: Serve the stir-fry hot over a bed of jasmine or brown rice. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
