Ingredients

1 cup (240g) Nutella

1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar

1/4 cup (50g) packed brown sugar

1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour

1/4 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 cup (30g) chopped hazelnuts (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter and Nutella. Whisk them together until smooth and well combined. Next, add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Add Sugars: Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the Nutella mixture. Whisk until the mixture is shiny and smooth.

Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients using a spatula. Be careful not to overmix; stir just until combined.

Mix in Extras: If desired, fold in chocolate chips and chopped hazelnuts for an extra layer of texture and flavor.

Bake the Brownies: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. The edges should be set, while the center remains fudgy. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out with moist crumbs but not wet batter.

Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cool, cut into squares and enjoy!
