Ingredients

4 cod fillets (6 ounces each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease an oven-safe baking dish with cooking spray or a little bit of the melted butter.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant (be careful not to burn the garlic). Stir in the lemon juice and paprika, cooking for another minute. Remove from heat.

Season the Cod: Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Arrange the Fillets: Place the cod fillets in the baking dish. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of the fillets.

Bake the Cod: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cod is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove from the oven, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
