Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for optimal juiciness)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn or flour tortillas

Fresh cilantro for garnish

Lime wedges for serving

Optional toppings: diced red onion, sliced jalapeños, shredded cheese, avocado

Instructions

Prepare the Beef Mixture:

    - In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn the garlic.

      Cook the Beef:

        - Add the ground beef to the skillet. Use a spatula to break it up as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, and cumin. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.

          Make the BBQ Sauce:

            - Once the beef is cooked, reduce the heat to low. Add the honey, BBQ sauce, and soy sauce to the beef. Stir well to combine, allowing the mixture to simmer for about 3-5 minutes so the flavors meld.

              Warm the Tortillas:

                - While the beef mixture is simmering, warm the tortillas. You can do this in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side or wrap them in foil and heat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.

                  Assemble the Tacos:

                    - Take a tortilla and place a generous amount of the garlic butter honey BBQ beef mixture in the center. Top with fresh cilantro and any additional toppings you like (red onion, jalapeños, cheese, avocado).

                      Serve:

                        - Squeeze fresh lime juice over the filled tacos and serve immediately while warm.
