1 lb (450g) smoked sausage (such as kielbasa or andouille), sliced into bite-sized pieces

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

For the Creamy Parmesan Pasta:

8 oz (225g) fettuccine or spaghetti

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta:

    - In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

      Prepare the Sausage Bites:

        - In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

          - Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant but not browned.
