Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature will help achieve that perfect crispy texture.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large bowl, toss the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Make sure each sprout is well-coated with the oil and seasonings.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down for maximum crispiness.

Roast in the Oven: Roast the sprouts in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are deeply golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking.

Add the Cheese: Once they are roasted, remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over them while they are still hot. Return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melty and slightly browned.

Finish with Lemon Juice: Once out of the oven, drizzle fresh lemon juice over the Brussels sprouts and toss gently for added brightness in flavor.

Garnish and Serve: Transfer the crispy Brussels sprouts to a serving platter and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious, crunchy side dish!
