Ingredients

8 chicken drumsticks

4 tablespoons olive oil

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Marinade: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to create a marinade.

Marinate the Drumsticks: Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly in the marinade. Allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes for better flavor. For best results, marinate them in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours.

Coat with Parmesan: After marinating, remove the drumsticks and shake off any excess marinade. Roll each drumstick in the grated Parmesan cheese, ensuring they are well-coated.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the Parmesan-coated drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.

Bake the Drumsticks: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). If desired, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to achieve a crispier skin.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the drumsticks from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley and lemon zest for a fresh touch. Serve warm with your choice of sides.
