Ingredients

1 large loaf of Italian bread (or French bread)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Cut the Bread: Place the bread loaf on a cutting board. Using a serrated knife, cut the bread vertically and horizontally to create a grid pattern, being careful not to cut all the way through to the bottom.

Stuff the Bread: Use a pastry brush or spoon to generously drizzle the garlic butter mixture into the cuts of the bread. Ensure that the butter seeps into every crevice.

Add the Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly into the cuts of the bread. Make sure the cheese is well-distributed to create a cheesy pull-apart effect.

Wrap and Bake: Wrap the stuffed bread in aluminum foil, sealing it tightly. This will help to keep the bread moist and the cheese gooey. Place the wrapped bread on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.

Unwrap and Crisp: After 15 minutes, unwrap the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes. This will allow the top to get golden and crispy.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Pull apart the pieces of bread and enjoy while warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
