Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup natural almond butter (or any nut butter of your choice)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup vanilla protein powder (whey or plant-based)

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional, for extra chocolatey goodness)

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2-4 tablespoons almond milk (or any milk alternative), as needed

Instructions

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, cocoa powder, protein powder, and sea salt. Stir until well mixed.

Add Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix together the almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth. If your almond butter is too thick, you can warm it slightly in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds to make mixing easier.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir well until the mixture becomes thick and sticky. If the mixture feels too dry, gradually add almond milk one tablespoon at a time until it reaches a consistency that allows you to form balls.

Add Chocolate Chips: If using, fold in the dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Shape the Balls: Using your hands, scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture, placing each ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Chill: Once all the balls are formed, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Serve and Enjoy: Once chilled, your Guilt-Free Chocolate Protein Balls are ready to enjoy! Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
