Herb & Garlic Swirl Rolls

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast

1 cup warm milk (110°F to 115°F)

¼ cup sugar

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 tsp salt

2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

2 tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped

3-4 garlic cloves, minced

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

    Mix Ingredients: Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually stir in the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.

      Knead Dough: Dust a clean surface with flour and knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

        Prepare Herb & Garlic Mixture: In a small bowl, combine finely chopped parsley, basil, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, and olive oil. Mix until well blended.

          Roll Out Dough: After the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough into a rectangle (roughly 18x12 inches).

            Spread Filling: Evenly spread the herb and garlic mixture over the surface of the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

              Form the Swirls: Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seam to seal.

                Cut into Rolls: Slice the log into 12 equal pieces using a serrated knife or dental floss for clean cuts.

                  Arrange in a Baking Dish: Place the rolls cut-side up in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish or two round cake pans. Leave some space between each roll.

                    Final Rise: Cover rolls with a damp cloth and let them rise again in a warm area for about 30-45 minutes or until puffed.

                      Preheat & Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the rolls have risen, bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
