Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup whole milk, warmed to 110°F (43°C)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

2-3 tablespoons milk (for icing)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Mix in Ingredients: Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough begins to form.

Knead the Dough: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

Roll Out the Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.

Form the Rolls: Starting from one edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch seams to seal, then cut the log into 12 even pieces.

Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, cover with plastic wrap or a cloth, and let rise for about 30-45 minutes until doubled.

Bake the Rolls: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Prepare the Icing: While the rolls are baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust consistency with more milk if necessary.

Glaze and Serve: Once rolls are done baking, remove from the oven and drizzle with icing while still warm. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
