Ingredients

1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

1 cup jasmine rice

2 cups beef broth

3 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

½ cup frozen peas

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ground black pepper, onion powder, and red pepper flakes if using. Add the cubed sirloin steak and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Cook the Rice: In a medium saucepan, bring the beef broth to a boil. Add the jasmine rice, stir, reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender. Fluff with a fork and set aside.

Sear the Steak: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak (discard any excess marinade) and cook for about 6-8 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in honey and mix well until combined.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked steak to the skillet, tossing to coat it in the honey garlic sauce. Add the cooked jasmine rice and frozen peas, mixing everything until well combined and heated through. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Serve: Remove the skillet from heat. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy your delicious honey garlic butter steak and rice skillet!
