Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Let the shrimp marinate for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the marinated shrimp to the pan, reserving the marinade for later use.

Cook the Shrimp: Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque. Flip the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes until cooked through.

Add the Glaze: Pour the reserved marinade into the pan with the shrimp and bring it to a simmer. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the shrimp in a glossy glaze.

Garnish and Serve: Once the shrimp are well-coated and the sauce has thickened, remove from heat. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Pair with jasmine rice or stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
