4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.

    Prepare Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.

      Marinate Chicken Thighs: Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.

        Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken thighs from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place them skin-side down in the skillet. Sear for about 5-7 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown. Flip and sear the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.

          Roast Chicken: Transfer the seared thighs to the prepared baking dish, skin-side up. Pour the reserved marinade over the chicken thighs.

            Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and roast for 30-35 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) and the juices run clear.

              Broil for Crispiness (Optional): For extra crispiness, switch the oven to broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.

                Serve: Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve warm with your choice of sides, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
