Ingredients

2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Optional toppings: fresh berries, whipped cream, chocolate sauce

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Prepare the Crescent Roll Base: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it flat on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Press the seams together to create a smooth layer.

Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth using an electric mixer. Add the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.

Add Eggs and Sour Cream: Mix in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Then, add the sour cream and lemon juice, mixing until everything is smooth and creamy.

Layer the Cheesecake Mixture: Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crescent roll base in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Top with Remaining Crescent Rolls: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and strip it into pieces. Place them on top of the cheesecake mixture in a random pattern. This will create a delightful topping as it bakes.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and Dust: Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and allow it to cool for about 15-20 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Serve and Enjoy: Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature. Top with fresh berries, whipped cream, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce if desired.
