Ingredients

1 lb (450g) thinly sliced beef steak (ribeye or sirloin recommended)

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 cup sliced mushrooms (cremini or white)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded provolone cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (ensure no added sugars)

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and bell peppers, and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften. Add the mushrooms and garlic, continuing to cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is tender. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Beef: In the same skillet, add the sliced beef and Worcestershire sauce. Cook over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and no longer pink, about 4-5 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.

Combine Ingredients: Reduce the heat to low and return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet with the beef. Pour in the heavy cream and mix until everything is well combined and heated through.

Layer in Baking Dish: Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the provolone and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the top of the beef mixture.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish & Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
