Ingredients

1 pack (16 oz) frozen pierogies (potato and cheese filling works great)

1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced into ¼ inch rounds

1 large onion, diced

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Sauté the Kielbasa: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they are browned and slightly crispy. Remove the kielbasa from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Onions: In the same skillet, add the diced onions. Sauté until they become translucent and golden brown, about 5-6 minutes. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute until fragrant. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Pierogies: In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen pierogies, sautéed onions, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese (1 cup). Toss gently to blend everything together.

Assemble the Bake: In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, layer the pierogi mixture. Distribute the cooked kielbasa evenly on top. Then, dollop the sour cream over the kielbasa and pierogies, spreading gently with a spatula.

Cheese It Up: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top of the dish.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Serve: Once out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Kielbasa Pierogi Bake!
