4 medium-sized apples (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji), cored and cut into wedges

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup pecans or walnuts, roughly chopped

1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins

8 wooden skewers (about 6 inches long)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Pinch of salt

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Prepare the Apples: In a large bowl, toss the apple wedges with lemon juice, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and a pinch of salt until well coated.
