Ingredients

4 slices of brioche or challah bread

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon sugar (optional)

1 cup mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

1/2 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Whipped cream (optional, for serving)

Mini skewers or toothpicks (for assembly)

Instructions

Prepare the French Toast Mixture: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.

Slice the Bread: Cut each slice of brioche or challah into quarters, creating small squares.

Dip the Bread: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Dip each bread square into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side, ensuring it's fully coated.

Cook the Bread: Place the soaked bread squares onto the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.

Assemble the Sliders: Take two cooked French toast squares and layer your choice of mixed berries in between. Drizzle with a bit of maple syrup before topping with another French toast square to create a slider.

Secure with Skewers: Insert mini skewers or toothpicks through the center of each slider to hold it together.

Serve: Arrange the sliders on a platter, dust with powdered sugar, and optionally serve with whipped cream and extra maple syrup on the side for dipping.
