Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (1 inch thick)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

6 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)

1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Season the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels to ensure they get a nice sear. Drizzle olive oil over both sides of the chops and season generously with salt and pepper.

Sear the Chops (Optional): For extra flavor, you can sear the pork chops in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they’re nicely browned. This step can be skipped if you're short on time.

Apply the Garlic Butter: Place the pork chops in a baking dish (or leave them in the skillet) and spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each chop.

Bake in the Oven: Transfer the dish to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C) and the juices run clear.

Rest and Serve: Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, keeping them juicy. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a zingy kick.

Enjoy Your Meal: Serve your oven-baked garlic butter pork chops with your favorite side dishes, like roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes, and enjoy the savory, buttery goodness!
